Hotspot Customer Management
Manage hotspot Wi-Fi customers in Jasiyo — session-based payments via captive portal, vouchers, subscription hotspot accounts, and monitoring.
Types of hotspot customers
Walk-in / session customers
Connect to your Wi-Fi, get redirected to the captive portal, pay via M-Pesa STK Push, and get immediate access. No pre-created account needed — Jasiyo handles everything automatically.
Recurring subscribers
Monthly hotspot subscribers you manually add to Jasiyo. They get a pre-configured account and pay monthly like PPPoE customers.
Voucher customers
Pay in advance with a voucher code. The code gives them access for a fixed duration. Good for cafes, hotels, and events.
Captive portal payment flow
- 1Customer connects to your hotspot Wi-Fi network
- 2They open any website — their browser is redirected to Jasiyo's captive portal
- 3The portal shows your available plans with prices
- 4Customer enters their phone number and selects a plan
- 5An M-Pesa STK Push is sent to their phone
- 6They approve the payment on their phone
- 7Jasiyo receives the M-Pesa callback, creates a hotspot user on MikroTik, and redirects the customer to the internet
- 8Customer is online — the hotspot session runs until the plan duration expires
Recurring hotspot subscribers
For customers on a monthly hotspot subscription, go to Customers → Hotspot → Add Customer. Assign them a hotspot plan, and they'll have a pre-configured account.
These customers renew the same way as PPPoE customers — they pay to your Paybill using their unique account number (e.g. JSY-A1B2C3) and Jasiyo renews their account automatically.
Vouchers
Vouchers are pre-generated codes that give access for a fixed duration. Create them in bulk under Vouchers in your dashboard. Customers enter the code on the captive portal to get instant access.

The Hotspot Dashboard gives you a real-time view of:

- → Today's revenue from hotspot payments
- → Total sessions this month
- → Top-selling plans
- → Payment success rate
