ISP billing software for Uganda

Ugandan ISPs already bill on Jasiyo — collecting MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money, managing their MikroTik routers, and charging PPPoE and hotspot customers in Ugandan shillings.

Free for 7 days. Setting up yourself costs nothing.

    Getting paid

Your customers pay by mobile money

A customer picks a plan, enters their number, and approves the prompt on their phone. The router lets them online the moment the payment confirms.

    ioTec

MTN Mobile Money · Airtel Money

Collections land in your own ioTec wallet. You connect your client ID, client secret and wallet ID in Settings → Payments.

Already collecting real payments for ISPs in Uganda.

    XCEL (eTranzact)

MTN Mobile Money · Airtel Money

An alternative Ugandan rail using your own XCEL merchant account — API key, merchant ID and product ID.

Your money never passes through Jasiyo. You connect your own merchant account, so customer payments settle directly to you. We move the access, not the funds.

    Billed in shillings, not converted

Your invoice is computed in UGX from UGX revenue. There is no exchange rate anywhere in the calculation, so your bill never moves because a rate moved.

    Your dashboard reads in UGX

Revenue, plan prices, daily takings and the fee estimate all display in Ugandan shillings.

    Pay Jasiyo by mobile money

Your own subscription is settled by MTN or Airtel from a Ugandan number. No Kenyan bank account, no M-Pesa, no card.

    Before you start

What you need to go live

    A MikroTik router

Running RouterOS 7 — hEX S, RB5009, RB4011 or a CCR. Jasiyo talks to it directly to open and close customer access.

    Required

A Ugandan mobile money merchant account

An ioTec or XCEL account in your own business name. The money moves from your customer to you; Jasiyo never holds it.

    Required

    An SMS gateway

Connect your own SMS provider to send payment confirmations and expiry reminders to your customers.

    Optional

    Questions from Ugandan ISPs

    Does Jasiyo work in Uganda?
Yes. Ugandan ISPs run live networks on Jasiyo today, collecting MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money from their own customers and being billed by Jasiyo in Ugandan shillings.
Which mobile money networks can my customers pay with?
MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money. Jasiyo works out the network from the customer's number — Uganda has no mobile number portability, so the prefix identifies the network — and sends the payment prompt to the right one.
Do I need my own mobile money merchant account?
Yes, and that is deliberate. You connect your own ioTec or XCEL merchant credentials, so customer payments settle directly into your account. Jasiyo never touches your money, which also means you are not depending on us for a payout.
What does Jasiyo cost in Uganda?
UGX 800 per PPPoE or static customer per month, or 3% of hotspot revenue, with a single UGX 32,000 monthly minimum across your whole account rather than per service. Setting up yourself is free. If you want our team to set your router up with you, that is a one-time UGX 16,000.
What currency am I billed in?
Ugandan shillings, computed from your Ugandan revenue. Nothing is converted from Kenyan shillings, and no exchange rate is applied at any point.
Do I need M-Pesa or a Safaricom Daraja account?
No. Those are Kenyan rails. A Ugandan ISP connects ioTec or XCEL instead, and never touches Daraja.
    Which MikroTik routers are supported?
Build on RouterOS 7. The hEX S, RB5009, RB4011 and the CCR range all run it well. RouterOS 6 is still handled for ISPs who are already on it, but several newer capabilities only work on version 7, so it is not what you want under a new network. The one model to avoid entirely is the RB941-2nD (hAP lite), which does not have the resources to run a hotspot reliably.
Can I run both hotspot and PPPoE customers?
Yes, on the same router and in the same dashboard. Most ISPs start with one and add the other. Hotspot sells Wi-Fi by the hour or day; PPPoE bills fixed monthly home and office connections.
    Is there a free trial?
Yes — 7 days, and setting up yourself is free. You can connect a router, create plans and take real payments before paying Jasiyo anything.
