Automated Payment Receipts
Jasiyo automatically sends M-Pesa payment receipt SMS to customers after every successful payment.
How it works
Every time a customer payment is confirmed (via Daraja, PayHero, or Paystack callback), Jasiyo automatically sends an SMS receipt to the customer's phone number on file. This happens within seconds of the payment being matched.
SMS receipts require Bonga SMS to be configured in your settings. If SMS is not set up, receipts are skipped silently — payments are still processed and recorded normally.
Message content
The receipt SMS contains:
- → Your business/ISP name
- → Amount paid (KSh)
- → M-Pesa receipt number
- → New subscription expiry date
- → A brief confirmation that their internet has been renewed
Example: "FastNet: Payment of KSh 500 received. Ref: QHJ8K2X1AB. Your internet is renewed until 25 May 2026. Thank you!"
Disabling receipts
You can disable automatic payment receipt SMS under Settings → Notifications. Toggle off "Payment receipt SMS" to stop sending them. This doesn't affect other SMS notifications.
