Automated Payment Receipts
Jasiyo automatically sends M-Pesa payment receipt SMS to customers after every successful payment.
How it works
Every time a customer payment is confirmed, whichever gateway you use, Jasiyo sends an SMS receipt to the phone number on their record. This happens within seconds of the payment being matched.
Receipts require an SMS gateway connected under Settings → Communications. If none is set up, receipts are skipped silently — payments are still processed and recorded normally.
Message content
The receipt SMS contains:
- → Your business/ISP name
- → Amount paid (KSh)
- → M-Pesa receipt number
- → New subscription expiry date
- → A brief confirmation that their internet has been renewed
The default reads: "Hi John, payment of KSh 500 received (QKL4HX7Z8P). Your internet is active until 15 Apr 2026. Thank you! — FastNet"
You can rewrite it. Click SMS in the sidebar and edit the Payment Received template, using the placeholders listed on that page.
Disabling receipts
Click SMS in the sidebar and turn off Payment received in the PPPoE Automation card. The other automated messages are unaffected — each has its own switch.
