    Expiry & Renewal Reminders

Jasiyo sends automatic SMS reminders when customer subscriptions are about to expire — reducing churn and prompting timely renewals.

    When reminders are sent

Jasiyo sends SMS reminders at these points in the subscription lifecycle:

    3 days before expiry

Early warning — gives customers time to prepare payment.

    1 day before expiry

Urgent reminder — subscription expires tomorrow.

    On expiry

Notification that service has been suspended with payment instructions.

    Message content

    Reminder messages include:

    • Customer's name
    • Days until expiry (or that it has expired)
    • Renewal amount (KSh)
    • Their M-Pesa account number (JSY-XXXXXX)
    • Your Paybill number

Example: "Hi John, your FastNet internet expires in 2 days. Pay KSh 500 to Paybill 4565991 acc JSY-A1B2C3 to renew. Thank you!"

    Configuring reminders

Go to Settings → Notifications to enable or disable each reminder type individually. You can turn off the 3-day reminder while keeping the 1-day and expiry messages, for example.

Reminders are only sent if the customer has a phone number on their profile and SMS is configured via Bonga SMS. Customers without phone numbers are silently skipped.
